The anode plant is used as a stem anode production site to be used in the reduction process, a reduction plant is used to reduce alumina (a raw material for aluminum) into aluminum through the Hall-Heroult electrolysis process, and a printing plant is used to print molten aluminum into aluminum bars, billets, and alloys.

In this area there is also a gas cleaning system that functions to process fluoride gas which will be reacted with alumina through a dry scrubber system. There is also the Kuala Tanjung Port which is used for the outflow and entry of goods to factories as well as product delivery to Jakarta and Surabaya.

This integrated area relies on electricity supply from two power stations, namely Siguragura and Tangga. The power plant is generated from the Pengir Siruar Dam and the Tangga Dam which utilizes the constant flow of water from the Asahan River.

Inalum utilizes the water potential of the Asahan River that flows from Lake Toba into basic energy for the Siguragura and Tangga Hydroelectric Power Plants (PLTA) with a total capacity of 603 MW.

Currently, Inalum only has a production capacity of 250,000 tons per year of aluminum in the form of ingots, alloys and billets. The plan for the first phase, Inalum will add capacity by 30,000 tons per year by modernizing machinery and power plants.
